The Kingdom DEIB office stands for a continual progression of increasing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and as an advocate for the diversification and inclusion policies of the kingdom, as well as for individual members within the kingdom who need a voice in these matters.
This office is currently held by Lady Adelheid Krämer Von Rotemburg, who herself is blind, autistic, suffering from scoliosis and sciatica.
The Kingdom DEIB Officer is supported by shire officers and a newly created principality officer in the Principality of Insulae Draconis. Together they intend to create a positive and accessible environment, working with event staff and offices both at the highest levels of the kingdom and within each principality and barony, to broaden the horizon of DEIB going forward.
If members old and new have any queries or concerns they wish to raise, they are welcome to email the DEIB Officer at deib@drachenwald.sca.org.

Adelheid Krämer Von Rotemburg
Marianne Partridge or Adelheid Krämer von Rottemberg as she is known in the SCA is a fully blind individual suffering from a twisted spine and living with autism. She has also been transgender openly for 10 years. These things give her the lived experience. She uses to advocate for disabled people, those on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and others whose needs require accessibility, public acknowledgement and advocacy. She has worked on numerous occasions for organisations across the educational spectrum, both with disabled people, and on their behalf, creating educational material, and advocating through public speaking for accessible spaces, tools and initiatives. She is proud to bring this knowledge and the skills she has transferred over to the society and looks forward to serving those who have both legitimate concerns and valuable ideas regarding the future progression of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, goals, and aims, within the kingdom of Drachenwald throughout her tenure. The initiatives she is currently working through include blind fencing, constructing the foundations and network surrounding the structure of DEIB offices in the kingdom and codifying events sites across the kingdom with a traffic light system from most accessible to least. Only having joined the society, roughly 18 months ago, she is proud to serve.
